With the aim to promote and support the arts, we extend our facilities in Nachinola, (North Goa/India) to the creator community.
This module is not only for photographers and printmakers but also is a highly flexible, "plug and play" approach, that allows creators & educators to take advantage of our infrastructure and work beyond just the production stages,
showcase their work, interact with an audience and generate awareness & interest in thier practice.

DARKROOM - SAFETY
Actinic practices can be hazardous to health and to the ecology. Use of certain chemicals over long periods can cause harm to the practitioners and disposal of chemical waste can be hazardous to the environment. Because of these reasons, we follow a safe practice and have equipped the lab with an inlet-outlet ventilation system and an aircon to ensure that the airflow is steadily renewed. Moreover, we have also ensured that our chemical waste is managed by a safe disposal system and by means of a gravity-filteration system. The rest of the permissible waste is disposed into the gray-water tank that does not interact with the natural water-table of our surroundings. We have consulted technicians and experts to ensure a safe practice.
